Summary of Position: |
Maintain Banner Finance operating budgets, Banner HR position control, and position budgets. Train and assist University Departments with resolving position control and funding issues. Provide financial reports and analysis as assigned. |

Required Education: |
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. |

Required Work Experience: |
Two years of experience working in budget management. Experience working with complex spreadsheets for budget tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reconciliation. |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: |
Work experience in higher education is preferred. |

Duties/Responsibilities: |
Analyze and manage the Banner Finance budget data and create required adjustment transactions.
Communicate budget issues to departments for resolution. Administer and maintain the Position Control module of Banner HR.
Analyze position numbers, budgets and funding sources to assure balance between Banner Finance and HR modules and take corrective action..
Audit Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) for proper information.
Perform analysis of accounts, assist departments regarding financial transactions and position control transactions.
Complete monthly budget to actual reports.
Prepare various statistical reports and analyses.
Forecast budget results.
Train end users on Banner and Position Control usage and analysis.
Work closely with the Budget Office to ensure a consistent and balanced General Fund Budget.
Completion of IPEDS finance annual reporting.
Perform general accounting functions as required including journal entry approval.
Administer and maintain the Position Control module of Banner HR.
Performs all duties in compliance with applicable University policies and procedures and state and federal requirements.
Reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Finance.
Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.
Supervise student employees. |
