| The School of Education seeks applications for an Assistant Professor to teach education courses in elementary, secondary, and/or early childhood. Duties will include attending department meetings, advising students, and participating in accreditation process, etc. Teaching on-campus and off-campus courses, face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous online courses will be based on department need. Courses are to be taught in person on Ferris State University's Main Campus. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 or August 2025 at the latest. Required: Ph.D. or Ed. D. in Education or closely related field. Minimum of 18 credits in elementary, secondary, or early childhood education at bachelor or master's level. Teacher certification or ability to become certified. Three to 5 years of experience teaching at the birth to 5 year or K-12 level. (Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time.) |

Assistant or Associate Professor - Architecture & Facility Management

| The Architecture and Facility Management Department invites applicants for a 9-month tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing a new Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree, which is being submitted to the University community for consideration this fall. The successful applicant will hold a graduate degree in architecture or a closely related field and will have applicable work experience in architectural practice. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience. In addition to a background in practice, applicants should have a working knowledge of and commitment to sustainable design and sustainable systems. Preference will be given to candidates who show an interest in and an aptitude for marketing an academic program through online advertising campaigns, social media, high school and community college visits, summer camps, or other appropriate channels. Applicants with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: teaching first-year design and/or visualization; Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; Rhino and/or Revit; architectural detailing, construction materials, and/or advanced building systems. The anticipated start date of this position is January of 2025 at the earliest and August of 2025 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Master's degree in field: acceptable options include an accredited M.Arch, or an accredited B.Arch degree plus post-professional master's degree in a related field such as design, sustainability, or building systems. | The Senior Staff Advisor (SSA) is a live-in, paraprofessional staff member of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. The SSA is responsible for performing responsibilities provided in the Resident Advisor or Community Advisor (RA/CA) position as needed. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to work up to 24 hours (20 hours for International Students) per week as a Desk Service Assistant in their community, or up to 20 hours a week at another on campus job. |
