This position will develop and ensure the success of Ferris' Competitive Esports program and is in charge of recruiting student-players, managing the budget, overseeing the general operations, coaching, and building the program identity. Duties include supervising student staff and student-players, overseeing the daily operations of the esports arena, coordinating broadcast productions of esports competitions, and coordinating esports events hosted by Ferris State University. The preferred candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Travel for team tournaments and recruiting will be required. This is a 28-hour-per-week part-time position. The anticipated start date for this position is September 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor’s degree. A valid driver's license and ability to travel. At least one-year competitive Esports experience involving team-based multiplayer online video games. Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time. |

Hall Director (2 Year Temporary)

Provide comprehensive supervision of 1 residence hall. Actively participates on departmental and university-wide committees, manages facilities, advises housing student organization; coordinates programming/community development and provides overall leadership in the academic, social and emotional development of students. In addition, the Hall Director serves as a conduct hearing officer recommending educational outcomes up to and including probation. Works with Housing operations on the Big Rapids campus. Collaborates with KCAD Student Engagement staff for programming. Collaborates with University departments including Ferris Housing and Residence Life, Title IX, Student Conduct, CARE/ERS/Behavioral Response Team and others as needed. Participates in trainings with Ferris Housing and Residence Life staff. Makes appropriate referrals to Big Rapids and KCAD departments and resources. In collaboration with Admissions and Housing, oversees the marketing materials, advertising and recruiting for KCAD residents at the Lofts @ 5 Lyon. Collaborates with The Lofts @ 5 Lyon management for check-in/check-out, policies and emergencies. Advises KCAD students on all housing options and manages the Ferris 360 Housing Group. Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area. This is a 2-year position. Required: Bachelor's degree. The Human Resources Data/Process Analyst Specialist is responsible for the consistent delivery of a broad range of HR support and performs a variety of Human Resources functions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in cross-functional HR projects, and new initiatives. This individual must display a commitment to providing superior customer service and value working with a diverse constituency. The incumbent is expected to have exceptional critical thinking, and analytical skills; with the ability to work independently with little supervision. This individual works as an integral member of the Human Resource team in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate must be responsive, excel at problem solving, and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. This position reports to the AVP/Chief Human Resources Officer. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management. Three years recent experience in Human Resources, successfully performing analytical type work. Demonstrated proficiency with technology and ability to perform advanced functions in MS Office Suite and a employee management system. |
