Summary of Position: In collaboration with the Program Director, the LEADeres Program Coordinator secures venues, and caterers for day sessions. The individual coordinates with facilitators, liaise with venues and attends day sessions to ensure a quality delivery. Preparation and distribution of printed materials to program participants, including invoices. Maintains constant communication with program participants throughout the program and supports the creation of a safe learning environment. The position is seasonal. Job requires to work one Saturday a month from 9am to 5pm as well as some evening events. The position does not allow for remote work, office located at Kendall College of Art and Design in downtown Grand Rapids.

Required Work Experience: • Demonstrated work experience in managing similar programming in the Latino community
• Demonstrated knowledge of West Michigan Latino Community and its culture
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) proficiency in writing, reading, and speaking
Required Licenses and Certifications:    
Physical Demands:    
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: • Event planning experience
• Public speaking experience
• Cultural understanding of economic, social, and political landscape of area Latino communities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Develop, update and manage the program’s application system
2. Promote application process
3. In collaboration with Program Director, manage Social Media postings during and after application process
4. Collect applications and prepare report for selection process
5. Prepare acceptance communications
6. In collaboration with Program Director, select day-session venues
7. In collaboration with Program Director, select day-session catering
8. Coordinate day-session catering, AV and facilitation needs
9. Maintain professional communication with participants as well as facilitators throughout the program’s duration
10. Distribute and collect day-session evaluations
11. In collaboration with Program Director, develop Graduation’s “Run of Show”
12. Other duties as assigned
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities:    
Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Proficient in Google Office suite
