Position Title: Adjunct Instructor 3 - Professional Tennis Management  
Location: Big Rapids (Main Campus)

Summary of Position: Teach undergraduate classes for the Professional Tennis Management program. Advise students in the PTM degree program and maintain posted office hours. Guide and supervise PTM student internships. Take part in continuous curriculum development and improvement to maintain program standards and document via USTA, USTPA and University Program reviews. Direct the PTM program in compliance with University policies, procedures, and expectations. Engage in service to the University, College and community. Participate in professional development activities. Market the program and recruit students. Act as a liaison relating to the PTM program, Men & Women's Tennis Teams, and the Athletics Department.  
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing  
Required Education: Master’s degree with a combined experience of 4 years or more in any of the following: operations management, coaching, and/or tennis professional experience.
OR
Master’s in a business-related discipline with a combined experience of 3 years or more of teaching, coaching, and/or tennis professional experience.
 
Required Work Experience: Master’s degree with a combined experience of 4 years or more in any of the following: operations management, coaching, and/or tennis professional experience.
OR
Master’s in a business-related discipline with a combined experience of 3 years or more of teaching, coaching, and/or tennis professional experience.
 
Required Licenses and Certifications: USPTA Certified Elite Tennis Professional
USPTA member in good standing

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Bachelor’s degree from a USTA University program preferred  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Recruit, teach, supervise and advise students in the Professional Tennis Management program. Direct the program in compliance with University policies, procedures and improvement to maintain program standards and document via USTA, USTPA and University Program reviews assuring curriculum development and enhancement to remain current with industry standards and practices.  
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly/professional development in support of their teaching in this learner-centered environment; perform service in support of the students, the program(s) and the institution; and be committed to continuous curricular enhancement in response to changing workplace needs and expectations. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours, and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance.
