Summary of Position:

Help oversee the picking, fulfilling, processing and shipping of online orders for campus store, Ferris Outfitters. Assist with website updates for store. Assist Merchandise Associate as needed. Fulfill other duties as needed.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Retail and online order processing experience  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Check inventory of orders to be picked.

Pick, fulfill, and process orders.

Box orders for on-campus pickup and/or off-campus shipping.

Contact customers to handle issues with orders.

Field customer phone calls and emails pertaining to open and processed orders.

Assist Merchandise Associate in receiving and processing merchandise for use in web orders and for sale in stores.

Assist Merchandise Associate with pulling and stocking merchandise in the store.

Operate point-of-sale terminal for cash and charge sales and return transactions.

Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: The list of essential duties, tasks and responsibilities is not all inclusive; individual will perform other related duties as assigned.  
Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact well with co-workers and general public.

Well-developed PC and MS Office skills; comfortable with use of email and Internet.

Ability to work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activities of others.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Willingness and ability to learn new areas and develop new skills, including basic understanding of all areas and functions of Ferris Outfitters.

Available to work nights and weekends as needed.

Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
