Summary of Position: Complete daily health screens for each child upon arrival. Daily communication with families and teachers to ensure smooth transitions upon arrival and departure for the day. Ensure additional sanitation requirements are meet on a daily basis. Interact and assist with classroom supervision.

Required Education: A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university.  
Required Work Experience: Previous employment in a structured child care setting.  
Required Licenses and Certifications: Current Adult and Child first aid and CPR certification or ability to become certified prior to first day of employment.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:    
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Greet parents at drop-off and pick up times
2. Monitor children's health and maintain accurate records of daily health screenings for each
child
3. Act as a liaison between parents and teachers to assist children in transitioning during arrival
and departure routines.
4. Perform sanitation duties to promote health and safety of children and staff
5. Assist teachers in managing the classroom to assure a safe, healthy, and positive
environment for children.
6. Assist in maintaining all regulatory requirements governing center operations.
7. Independently observe and identify needs of the children without constant direction from
teachers and supervisors.
8. Implement daily plans as needed in absence and/or support of teaching staff.
9. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
10. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working
relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally, written, and electronically through parent engagement app. and other web-based software.
Maintain appropriate attendance and timeliness.
Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment making sound decisions in regard to health and safety.
