Summary of Position: Promote the internship program as an integral, valued element of the learning experience in the College of Business. Maintain and enhance an infrastructure that supports the student internship as a meaningful growth experience. Coordinate a systematic approach that fosters informed, effective involvement of all parties (i.e., students, faculty, administrators, and employers) within the context of mutual commitment and responsibility. Assess the contribution the internship experience makes to achievement of learning outcome goals, identifying and implementing means of improving that contribution.

Required Education: Bachelor degree in Business, Communications, or a field related to this activity.  
Required Work Experience: The successful candidate will have experience working with faculty and administrators in a University setting. Must have demonstrated excellent communication skills.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Ideally, prior work experience in the context of a student internship and/or career development program. Innovative and entrepreneurial; capable of functioning without direction; goal-oriented; systematic. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, bringing energy and enthusiasm to relationship-building, as they work effectively with a diverse range of people (e.g., students, faculty, administrators, and employers) in a manner that is both supportive and collaborative. Computer skill with web-based products.  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Coordinate the Internship Process for all College of Business programs where support is needed.
Maintain all web-based products (information, manuals, forms, guides) for both students and employers.
Counsel students regarding job search, internships available, resume writing, internship professionalism, required paperwork and reporting.
Maintain documentation for assessment of student achievement.
Counsel employers regarding their roles in documenting student achievement.
Perform classroom and student orientation presentations guiding students towards their internship(s)
Conduct Site visits
Promote College of Business Internships.
Maintain employer data base and provide access to students and programs
Utilize Facebook and other current social media platforms, MyFSU, HandShake, Canvas and Outlook Groups to inform students about opportunities.
Establish FSU/COB presence among professional organizations (Mi-ACE, CMEIA, CEIA, MOHRA, TEA-GR and attend meetings.
Maintain a partnership with FSU Career Services to collaborate regarding internship employment opportunities.
Attend COB Advisory Board meetings to provide and receive information about Internships.
Provide programs to raise students’ awareness about internships.
Coordinate mutually beneficial events to connect employers with the College of Business.
Maintain internship student records
Evaluate and assess internships
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
