Summary of Position: |
Primary responsibilities include: providing classroom instruction in the public health program/ maintaining regular posted office hours that are scheduled at times convenient for students; and developing and maintaining skills in a variety of teaching/learning methodologies including online course instruction. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for online instruction as the Public Health degree is fully online. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January of 2023 at the earliest. |

Doctorate in Public Health Previous teaching experience in higher education to include curriculum development, simulation and distance education; established record of scholarship, leadership, and professional service. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Providing online instruction as assigned. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |
