Summary of Position: Provide administrative support for Admissions Services at Kendall College of Art and Design. This position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions Services. This position will require the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as events are scheduled.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  
Required Work Experience: At least two years of work experience performing similar administrative support or clerical duties demonstrative of organizational skills.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge and experience in Banner and CRM platform.
Work experience in higher education, preference for specific experience in Admissions, Student Services, or similar department.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Manage student applications and other admissions requirements such as reviewing transcripts, test scores, and other student application materials.
Perform data entry in the Banner system.
Generate and execute applicant communications including acceptance letters to admitted students.
Assist the Associate Director of Admissions Services in the day-to day operations of the KCAD Admissions Office, such as maintaining office inventory, admissions promotional items, marketing materials, etc.
Co-supervise and schedule the student employees for Admissions and Student Services, alongside the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Student Engagement.
Assist in coordination and facilitation of on-campus admissions visits and recruitment events, such as Connect to KCAD, National Portfolio Day, etc.
Assist in coordinating travel arrangements, promotional materials, and communications for off-campus recruiting events.
Input, retrieve, download, merge and output information and produce correspondence, reports and other documents using various software programs and systems
Complete and manage catering requests, space use, and communications to support on-campus visits and recruitment events.
Maintain information and prepare various reports for Admissions Services and KCAD leadership
Assist with expense reports for Admissions teams.
Provide support in other KCAD areas as needed.
Maintain the confidentiality of designated information and perform duties with accuracy and in compliance with FERPA and all other applicable laws, policies and procedures.
Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Perform routine office support duties
 
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in scheduling appointments for Admissions staff.
Serve as back-up support for KCAD Admissions phone and email inquiries.
Serve as back-up support of the Student Services desk, which may include:
• Receive and review financial aid documents for completeness.
• Receive and issue receipts to students for student educational related payments.
• Assist students with general questions and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Assist students with general financial aid/scholarship questions or direct them to appropriate staff.
 
Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to learn new data systems and software.
Ability to perform duties independently, self-directed, and responsibly.
Interest and ability to perform wide variety of tasks.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni.
Demonstrated commitment, experience and understanding for diversity, equity and inclusion.
Strong typing and grammar skills.
