Summary of Position: |
Develop, coordinate and support family-centered programming as well as assist in leading and coordinating operations, policies, and procedures of the Early Learning Center. |

Required Education: |
Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field as defined in applicable State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers. |

Required Work Experience: |
Minimum: Three years work experience in a structured early childhood environment with supervisory experience and working with families. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Assume administrative responsibilities in absence of manager Assist in monitoring of all current governing agency regulations Facilitate Single Family Support Groups, Coordinate, Monitor and Report Parent Involvement Develop and manage CCAMPIS grant activities pertaining to family-child-school connection in preparation of governmental reporting Support teaching staff in meeting curriculum guidelines in conjunction with supporting child-family-staff relationships Enroll CCAMPIS program participants. Meet with all eligible families to identify areas of need and goals for family support Supervise classroom teaching practices to ensure connection to family goals Coach, mentor and identify areas for program growth Provide feedback to administrators on classroom practices Contribute to the developing and monitoring business plans to guide center operations in accordance with all regulatory agencies Assist with developing grant proposals and on-going monitoring of grant activity Participate in interviewing, selecting, training, supervising and evaluating program staff Assist with developing marketing strategies, news releases and social media presence Support early learning lab practices with various campus-based programs Reports directly to the Early Learning Center Manager Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |
