Teaching will include business and management undergraduate and graduate courses. Pre-College Program Specialist Big Rapids, MI 49307
Pre-College Program Specialist – Ferris State University. The Pre-College Programs Specialist reports directly to the Director of Multicultural Student Services (OMSS) and will have the duties and responsibilities of organizing programming, administering budgets, and completing federal and state reports associated with the MI GEAR UP/KCP College Day Program for the OMSS Director's review. This is a grant funded position with up to a three-year temporary assignment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued grant funding and successful performance. The position will include considerable travel to designated schools within Michigan to implement programs and activities designed to increase awareness to students and their parents about the importance of going to college as outlined in the MI GEAR UP contract. This may include, but is not limited to, financial literacy, academic outreach and support, mentorship, and other support services including scholarships for underserved K-12 and college age students. The Pre-College Programs Specialist also coordinates and oversees the College Positive Volunteer (CPV) Program, a program that officially trains and actively engages college students to positively promote higher education to K-12 youth.
