Reporting to the Content Coordinator and the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator, the Graphic Designer will be a member of the Communications team at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD). The highly organized, articulate and detail-oriented graphic designer will have a fundamental understanding of design and design processes, and be knowledgeable in the principles and techniques of design, typography, illustration, image assessment, production, marketing, branding, writing and editing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: concept, layout, design and production of original marketing and advertising materials, both print and digital, to create and enhance KCAD and the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA)’s visual identity. Work on student recruitment projects is prioritized, but work may also include other projects for KCAD and the UICA.

Adjunct Instructor 3 – Pharmacy Practice- Ferris State University. Individuals with experience in community pharmacy practice settings are encouraged to apply. The position requires community pharmacy expertise and passion for elevating the level of community pharmacy practice. Responsibilities consist of delivering didactic education within the experiential curriculum of an integrated Doctor of Pharmacy program primarily in the second and third professional years that includes, but is not limited to: lectures, active learning, facilitated discussions and other instructional methods. The position will also be responsible for coordination of the direct patient care introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) courses and the community pharmacy components of the experiential curriculum. Clinical practice opportunities may be explored at a limited level based on the interest of the individual and need of the department. Additionally, the individual will contribute to the Department, College, University and profession through various assignments, including mentoring students. These responsibilities will require the ability to work from multiple locations, including the Big Rapids and Grand Rapids instructional facilities. Required: PharmD from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited institution with current licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan (reciprocation acceptable but necessary at date of hire). Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Grant Project Director Big Rapids, MI 49307
Ferris State University has been awarded a three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) to further a comprehensive coordinated community approach to enhance victim safety, provide services and support for victim/survivors, and support efforts to hold offenders accountable. The funding supports activities that develop and strengthen trauma-informed victim/survivor services and strategies to prevent, investigate, and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campus. The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Grant Project Director is a three year, temporary, grant funded, full-time, 12 month position that reports to the Dean of Student Life (grant principle investigator) or her designee and will be responsible for administering the OVW Campus Program Grant. The Director will serve as point of contact for the OVW Grant for the Department of Justice/OVW, will manage implementation of grant programs and activities, will lead us in the achievement of mandatory, statutory, and program requirements, will attend and participate in all required trainings, and will complete all grant reports, assessments, and OVW correspondences. In addition, the Project Director will ensure that we meet our OVW Priority Area expectations to specifically increase our efforts to reduce stalking and to ensure that 50% or more of our proposed grant activities address stalking.
