Director of MyDegree Big Rapids, MI 49307
Director of MyDegree - Ferris State University. Aligned with the university and RSS strategic plans, the MyDegree Director supports institutional effectiveness and student success. This work involves operationalizing program data to aid students and advisors, automating degree auditing processes, aiding initiatives to help identify and mitigate barriers to enrollment, progression and graduation, and furthering Ferris’s ability to plan for and offer courses in response to demand. The MyDegree Director provides operational and strategic leadership for initiatives and personnel supporting curricular processes and toolsets for students, faculty and staff designed to aid program and course planning, bulletin publication, transfer guidance, degree mapping, advising, graduation audits, and custom reporting, e.g., usage, demand and forecast analyses, etc. The Director collaborates with faculty and staff and engages students through use experience consultation to continually evolve MyDegree (Degree Works) in support of university priories, curricular processes and the needs of student, faculty and staff constituencies. Required: Master’s Degree. Professor - Ferris State University. Full-time 12-month tenure faculty position. Responsible for teaching optometric education in lab, classroom and clinic. The candidate will be expected to develop in the areas of patient care, teaching, scholarly/professional activities, and leadership. Required: At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and must have completed an accredited optometric residency or have an equivalent degree or experience in patient care. The CTO directs the organization and staff in all units of Information Technology Services, including Enterprise and Application Services, Security, Student Technology Services, Technology Assistance Center, Telecommunications Technology Services, and other related support services. IT Services also includes University-wide services for IT infrastructure systems and applications for instructional systems and other academic and support areas in Big Rapids and at off-campus sites. The position also has responsibility for the planning and delivery of University-wide information technology (IT) development. The CTO oversees the central IT procurement process and is responsible for administrative oversight of all University-wide software licenses and contracts. The CTO provides IT leadership in the areas of strategic IT planning; policies, standards, and guidelines; technical project management, resource allocation and capacity planning; security, risk analysis, business continuity and disaster recovery planning; budget planning and management; staff development and organization training.
