Under the direction of the AVP/Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Staff Training and Process Coordinator is responsible for the creation and delivery of training and professional development programs and logistics for the non-faculty staff of the University. In addition, the position will work with the Senior HR Generalist to assist in the recruitment, job posting, and onboarding processes. The incumbent must display a commitment to providing superior service and value working with a diverse constituency. Develop, coordinate, and conduct training and professional development programs both in person and online for employees for all Ferris locations. Maintain training databases, develop & deliver training, and collect assessments for continuous improvement. Support the HR employment team to ensure the timely completion of all recruitment, job posting, and onboarding processes. |

Provide reliable and professional administrative support to the Extended and International Operations dean's office in Big Rapids, MI. Responsibilities include; student interactions, receptionist duties, clerical tasks, and bookkeeping. This full-time, on-site position, operates in a professional office environment with a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The anticipated start date for this position is June 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent technical training or business/technical schooling. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of college education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Coordinator of Compliance and Student Success

To coordinate and provide oversight in the University's comprehensive NCAA compliance program. The position will oversee monitoring documentation of all compliance activities as required by NCAA, GLIAC, CCHA and Ferris State University for institutional control measures. The position shall be responsible for record keeping, rules interpretations, rules education and will serve as the primary interface with FSU's Associate Registrar on all NCAA eligibility concerns and its Athletic Financial Aid Officer. The Coordinator of Compliance and Student Success will oversee all areas of academic success including overseeing study tables, working with academic advisors on registration and advising the Student Athlete Advisory Council. Required: Bachelor's degree. One year working in an intercollegiate athletic department. |

Assistant Professor - Criminal Justice

Ferris State University is seeking a well-qualified and experienced applicant for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to serve within the School of Criminal Justice. The responsibilities will include teaching courses in the School of Criminal Justice program both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the prospective faculty member will collaborate with faculty on curriculum development, perform academic advising, and serve on various levels of committee support of the University, College and Department. The candidate will also maintain regularly scheduled office hours, support a research agenda, and continue their professional development. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related discipline. ABD will be considered. A terminal degree is required for tenure, in accordance with applicable tenure policy. Candidate will have at least five years’ experience in the United States Criminal Justice System. Candidate will have experience teaching at the higher education level. This candidate should demonstrate potential for effective, innovative instruction, communicate effectively and show evidence of continuing scholarly growth. |
