Perform custodial duties independently or within a team environment as assigned, providing a high standard of cleanliness. This is a custodial position M-F, 10:30 pm – 7:00 am. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Custodial/Janitorial work experience in a commercial-hospital-school environment, in a commercial cleaning service, or completion of the Ferris State University JANUS (custodial) training. Demonstrated experience with correct operation of a variety of commercial custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaner, automatic scrubber, high speed burnisher, single disc scrubber, carpet extraction/shampoo equipment or other essential or similar custodial equipment.
Part-Time Custodian (McKessy House/Print Services) Big Rapids, MI 49307
A position classified as a part-time custodian is available with the Facilities Management department in the McKessy House and Print Services areas. The work schedule will be 20 hours per week. The normal working hours are 6:00 am - 10:00 am, Monday through Friday. However, may be required to work other times including evenings/weekends. It is not anticipated that this position will become full-time but will remain a part-time position. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University's requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Adjunct Instructor - Dentist Big Rapids, MI 49307
Working with dental hygiene faculty, adjunct instructors, and staff to provide supervision and evaluation of dental hygiene students in pre-clinical and clinical courses, dental radiology, and other dental hygiene courses. The supervising dentist works under the direction of the Dental Hygiene Clinic Operations Supervisor. This is a pooled position. Assistant or Associate Professor of Construction Technology & Management (9-Month, Tenure-Track) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Department of Construction Technology & Management invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Primary responsibilities include teaching and advising students in a four-year BS Construction Management program (accredited by the American Council for Construction Education – ACCE) and in two separate two-year AAS programs – Building Construction Technology and Civil Engineering Technology. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction technology and construction management topics. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Tenure awarded at a previous institution is required to be hired at the rank of Associate Professor. Assistant or Associate Professor of Automotive Big Rapids, MI 49307
The School of Automotive and Heavy Equipment invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and teaching courses in the Associate in Applied Science Automotive Service Technology Program and in the Bachelor of Science Automotive Engineering Technology Program, in lecture and lab formats. This position requires utilizing a variety of methods and techniques to assure student attainment of course outcomes and the utilization of assessment methods to monitor success. Other duties may include the delivery of courses off campus, development and delivery of on-line courses, serving on department, school, and college committees, and student advising. The College of Business at Ferris State University seeks a pool of outstanding applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in business and management. Under the direction of the Interim Dean, the Interim Associate Dean of Kendall College of Art and Design, is an administrative position with an anticipated start in the spring of 2026, with an expected end date of December 2026. However, this is an estimate and may be revised if needed. This position works under broad administrative direction with significant responsibility in operations, assessment, student recruitment, retention, and compliance. This is a 12-month administrative appointment that requires understanding of the programs within the KCAD, willingness to work closely with faculty, students, and staff across the departments of the KCAD, as well as with the college Dean's and Provost's office, while paying attention to detail in meeting the needs of the KCAD related to accreditation, efficiency, program quality, enrollment, operations, and industry partnerships.
