Perform custodial duties independently or within a team environment as assigned, providing a high standard of cleanliness. This is a custodial position for T-Sa, 10:30 pm – 7:00 am. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Custodial/Janitorial work experience in a commercial-hospital-school environment, in a commercial cleaning service, or completion of the Ferris State University JANUS (custodial) training. Demonstrated experience with correct operation of a variety of commercial custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaner, automatic scrubber, high speed burnisher, single disc scrubber, carpet extraction/shampoo equipment or other essential or similar custodial equipment.
Food Service Worker	Big Rapids, MI 49307
A position classified as a Food Service Worker is available with Dining Services at Erbert & Gerbert's. The normal working hours are 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Tentative start date for this position will be August 17th, 2025. Days off are Friday and Saturday. The employee may be required to work other times, including evenings and/or weekends. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University’s requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Personnel who possess the special qualifications and training necessary for this position may apply. Provide food services support by preparing and serving food, waiting on customers, and maintaining assigned area. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Six months full-time equivalent experience in commercial food service to include food preparation.
Assistant or Associate Professor of HVACR	Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include; preparing and delivering courses, utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met, and delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Advising students, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the department, college and the university. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Master's Degree in a related discipline and three years full-time, relevant HVAC industry experience OR Bachelor's Degree in HVACR and five years full-time, relevant HVAC industry experience OR Bachelor's Degree or higher in a closely related field and eight years full-time, relevant HVAC industry experience OR Associate's Degree in HVACR and eight years full-time, HVAC industry experience.
