KCAD faculty also advise students regarding their academic plan and progress as well as their co-curricular and post-graduation opportunities. The KCAD M.Arch was established in 2014 and achieved NAAB accreditation in 2019. Situated within an art and design college, the program emphasizes architecture’s cultural significance and values interdisciplinary connections and community engagement. Its curriculum is structured around a unique sequence of immersive seminars paired with design studios. The program is seeking a term-appointment full-time faculty member with a strong, demonstrated ability as a design studio instructor, and with the expertise to teach courses in other parts of the curriculum such as design representation, environmental systems, and/or thesis research.
