| The Department of English, Literature, and World Languages seeks qualified candidates to teach English courses on a semester-by-semester basis. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For 100% online teaching positions: Courses are to be taught online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in English, rhetoric & composition, or a closely related field. Prior experience teaching writing at the high school level or higher. |

| The Humanities Department has a need for History instructors for the Fall 2024 and/or the Spring 2025 semesters to teach a wide variety of history courses on an as needed basis. Courses may include US History (survey courses) and/or Global History. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. | Full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position. Responsible for teaching in laboratory, classroom, and clinic. The candidate will be expected to develop in patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is December 2024 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. Required: At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and must either have completed an accredited optometric residency or have an equivalent degree or experience in patient care. At the time of appointment, the applicant must have or be eligible for a Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certifications for appointment to the college's clinical staff. At least one year of residency experience or commensurate work/professional experience. Residency experience in specialty contact lens and anterior segment disease is preferred. |
