The Desk Service Assistant (DSA) is a part-time student staff member of the Office of Housing and Residence Life. The DSA must live on campus and is preferred to live in the community in which they live. They work at the front desk of the building in which they live, or the front desk of the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
Senior Laboratory Trainer	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. This position is also responsible for developing laboratory curriculum changes. These are pooled, part-time positions. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications appropriate to program assignment, such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Five years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials. Two years experience in a classroom laboratory setting as a trainer/instructor/monitor.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Early childhood (birth to 5 years), Elementary, or Secondary Education	Multiple Locations
The School of Education seeks candidates to teach on a semester-by-semester, as needed basis, in the areas of Early childhood (birth to 5 years), elementary education, and secondary education at one of Ferris State University's campuses. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face and synchronous on-line courses during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, some evenings may be required. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For courses that are taught 100% online, the candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. Required: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field. 3 years of experience at the appropriate age level- birth- 5 and/or K-12 grades.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Product Design Engineering Technology	Multiple Locations
The School of Engineering and Computing Technology invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Product Design Engineering Technology program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in a "hands-on" academic environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For courses that are taught 100% online, the candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. Required: 1. Master's degree in field or closely related area or a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in field which may include Design, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline. 2. Any Master's or higher-level degree plus a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in field and five years relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught. 3. A Bachelor's degree in field and seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course(s) taught. 4. An Associate's degree in field and any bachelor's degree plus seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught. Work experience based on degree attained. Full academic year temporary faculty will teach a variety of courses. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: 1. Bachelors degree or higher in HVAC OR 2. Bachelors degree or higher in a related field plus 8 years HVAC industry experience. Five years of work in the HVAC industry.
