| The School of Engineering and Computing Technology invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Product Design Engineering Technology program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in a "hands-on" academic environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For courses that are taught 100% online, the candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. Required: 1. Master's degree in field or closely related area or a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in field which may include Design, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline. 2. Any Master's or higher-level degree plus a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in field and five years relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught. 3. A Bachelor's degree in field and seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course(s) taught. 4. An Associate's degree in field and any bachelor's degree plus seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to course(s) taught. Work experience based on degree attained. Adjunct Instructor 3 - HVAC

| Full academic year temporary faculty will teach a variety of courses. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: 1. Bachelors degree or higher in HVAC OR 2. Bachelors degree or higher in a related field plus 8 years HVAC industry experience. Five years of work in the HVAC industry. |

Laboratory Instructor/Monitor

| Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education and Training (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. These positions are limited to no more 28 hours per week. This is a pooled position and our anticipated start date is Fall 2024 (preferably August) and/or Spring (preferably January) 2025. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications as appropriate to program assignment such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Two years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials. |

One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Faculty Qualification by Credential: The standard to teach college credit courses at the associate degree level (1xx-2xx) is a bachelor's degree (or higher) in field or closely related field. The standard to teach college credit courses at the baccalaureate level (3xx-4xx) is a master's degree (or higher) in field or closely related area or a master's degree and 18 graduate hours in field. Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience: The following combination of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the associate's level (1xx-2xx): 1. a bachelor's degree or higher out of field and an associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience. 2. a bachelor's degree out of field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. 3. an associate's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the baccalaureate level (3xx-4xx): 1. a master's degree or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor's or associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course taught. 2. a bachelor's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught; or, an associate's degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 7 years of relevant industry experience.
