Adjunct Instructor 1 - Artificial Intelligence – Ferris State University. Adjunct Instructor 1 – Communication – Ferris State University. The Humanities Department seeks applications for instructors to teach one or more sections of communication courses for the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Potential communication courses may include public speaking and/or interpersonal communication and/or small group communication. Required: Master's degree in Communication or related field. Prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher in Public Speaking.
Assistant Professor – Surveying Engineering	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Assistant Professor – Surveying Engineering – Ferris State University. Position responsibilities will include teaching A.A.S. and B.S. courses in an accredited surveying engineering program. Courses may include topics such as GIS, photogrammetry, surveying principles and adjustments, etc. Student advising will also be required along with the ability to develop on-line courses and to work with fellow faculty members in the advancement of the Surveying curriculum. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: Professional Surveyors License (current or expired but not revoked). 1. Master’s degree in field or closely related field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 2. A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 3. A bachelor’s degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught with the ability to obtain a Master’s degree within 5 years of the date of hire.

To hire adjunct faculty to teach one course or a variety of courses, in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, and Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction, surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design and construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended or online; in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: 1. Master’s degree or higher, in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or master’s degree or higher, in a field related to course content plus five (5) years full-time US commercial or industry construction experience (this is required to teach 300 and 400 level courses) OR 2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and an MBA plus eight years (8) full-time US commercial or industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility (this is required to teach 300 and 400 level courses) OR 3. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Ferris State University. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Founded in 1884, the Ferris’ founding philosophy of a practical, hands-on approach to education that enables students to learn practical skills for new jobs in a changing world still resonates loudly today. Our education is “where theory meets practice.” This, together with a committed faculty, individual attention and career-oriented degrees, prepares graduates who find employment in their field after graduation. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction, however, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is May of 2024 at the earliest and August of 2024 at the latest. Required: Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or health related field. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB), and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). Three years of clinical experience in direct patient care.
