Candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Finance classes. Classes may include: Personal Finance, Financial Management I, Financial Markets-Institutions, Real Estate Finance, Mathematics of Finance and other finance courses as needed. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. |

The College of Engineering Technology (CET) at Ferris State University invites applicants for a tenure track position in the discipline of Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology (EAET). This position combines relevant experience in electronics and automation for a new program in the School of Engineering and Computing Technology (SECT). The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach courses, as well as develop and teach labs primarily focused, but not limited to automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), digital logic and communication networks for automation systems as well as other courses in relevant technological areas. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in continuous improvement and curriculum development in accordance with ABET accreditation criteria. Interfacing with industry and external agencies to direct the growth and development of the program will be expected in activities such as senior projects, grants, and advisory roles.
The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: 1. Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or a closely related field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 2. A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 3. A bachelor’s degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught with the ability to obtain a Master’s degree within 5 years of the date of hire. Industrial experience with automation and PLC programming. |

A certification in the area the candidate will teach, which may include the following relevant security areas: information security; Information assurance; IT security; data mining and analysis; intelligence analysis; penetration testing; network security; visual/link analysis; digital forensics; secure application development; data base; risk assessment; fraud; ethics. Three years of industry experience or two years industry experience plus additional education beyond master's degree or certifications in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or data science. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Ferris State University. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
