The College of Engineering Technology is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Heavy Equipment courses. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2024 at the earliest and January of 2025 at the latest. Required: Qualification by Credential: Master's Degree in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline OR a Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering or related discipline. Qualification by Tested Experience: Bachelor's degree in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology or Equivalent degree. Minimum of three years full-time experience in the Heavy Equipment Service field or teaching in a Heavy Equipment related setting, within the previous five years. Adjunct instructors are needed to teach undergraduate courses as part of Ferris State University's Statewide (off-campus) and online programs. The locations include, but are not limited to, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, Lapeer, and online. The list of programs where instructors may be needed is at https://ferris.edu/everywhere. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. These are estimated dates that may be revised as needed to match part-of-term assignments. Required: For all teaching assignments, a minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, typically in the discipline of instruction. In most cases, a master's degree with at least 18 graduate-level credits in the discipline is also required. The exact education needed will vary based on the course's defined qualifications. Required licenses and certifications vary based on the defined qualifications for the course. In general, three years of professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Starters/Rangers/Players' Assistants – Ferris State University. The starter/players' assistant has one of the most important positions in the golf operation. They are the golf course steward who starts, directs the flow of traffic, enforces the club rules and regulations, instructs the players in the code of etiquette, oversees the golf course grounds and assists the players with any on course problems. This is a seasonal position. Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency with a valid driver’s license. Prior golf knowledge. |

Part-Time Bus Driver – Ferris State University. Provide safe transportation for passengers, equipment, and packages. Assist in maintenance of University owned and leased vehicles. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Valid Michigan commercial driver’s license (CDL), Group A or B with endorsements ‘P’ with no restrictions, airbrakes and DOT medical card. Three years full-time equivalent of combined bus and heavy equipment truck driving, with emphasis on bus driving experience. Demonstrated experience with minor automotive repair and driving all types of vehicles. |
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Finance

Candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Finance classes. Classes may include: Personal Finance, Financial Management I, Financial Markets-Institutions, Real Estate Finance, Mathematics of Finance and other finance courses as needed. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
