The College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) seeks applications for an Accreditation Specialist who will coordinate all aspects of national accreditation, including unit accreditation review, state and national pre-visits and visits, and manage the analysis and reporting of data. This position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administration, and students in the college to develop, implement, and monitor a system of assessment and continuous improvement to ensure programs are meeting learning outcomes and standards appropriate for accreditation and other reporting requirements. CASE currently has two accredited programs, the School of Education and the Social Work program. This position may also assist to improve our readiness for large Federal grants (FIPSE, HRSA, etc.) that require extensive data not typically collected or readily available at Ferris. This position will report directly to the CASE Dean and work closely with dept. chairs/heads that have accredited/specialized programs. The anticipated start date for this position is December 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Educational Leadership, Healthcare, Evaluation and Measurement or closely related field. Two years of experience working with accreditation, assessment, and evaluation. Experience with data aggregation, analysis and measurement techniques. Ability to complete tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness. Ability to work with a variety of systems and software tools to extract data and format into reports and to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to analyze data and present results. Strong written and verbal skills. |
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Health Information Technology

Provide online didactic instruction for students in the Associate of Applied Science of Health Information Technology program as assigned in the College of Health Professions. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January of 2025 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. Required: Bachelor's degree in health information management. Minimum three years in a health information management department. |

Budget Analyst

The Budget Analyst assists in the preparation of the annual university general fund and non-general fund budgets; processes the detailed annual budget allocations to organizational units; monitors and forecasts student enrollment; maintains Institutional and State data reporting (HEIDI, MASU, etc); utilizes in-depth knowledge of budgeting and variance analysis to compile various analyses and reports; and performs other duties as required. This role requires knowledge of budgetary procedures and provides complex reporting, analytic and technical expertise for all phases of the annual budget process including: student enrollment, tuition revenue forecasting, operating expenses and fund transfers. Responsible for reporting required data to State and university offices. Utilizes general accounting knowledge and the ability to research information in the Banner ERP system. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Administration, Accounting, or other business related field. Minimum three years of demonstrated budgetary work experience in a financial / accounting setting, or related field. Advanced Excel skills are required: experience using spreadsheets, advanced spreadsheet functions and the ability to logically organize complex databases. Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Considerable interaction with groups where tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work under pressure are required. |
