A position classified as a Food Service Worker is available with Dining Services at the Quad Café. The normal working hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Days off are Saturday and Sunday. Tentative start date for this position will be August 17th, 2025. Provide food services support by preparing and serving food, waiting on customers, and maintaining assigned area. This is a 9-month position. The employee may be required to work other times, including evenings and/or weekends. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University’s requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Personnel who possess the special qualifications and training necessary for this position may apply. This is an AFSCME bargaining unit position. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Six months full-time equivalent experience in commercial food service to include food preparation.
Head Basketball Coach	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Direct and coordinate the men’s basketball program to include recruiting, practice planning, student-athlete development, monitoring of academic success, and adherence to NCAA, GLIAC, and University policy and guidelines. Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Must possess a strong desire to teach and facilitate the academic and athletic needs of students. Must have thorough knowledge of NCAA, GLIAC and University rules and excellent communication skills. Five years of effective coaching and recruiting at the collegiate, professional or major high school level. Must exhibit sound leadership qualities with clear and effective communication skills both orally and written. Must have experience in recruiting, player development and roster management.
Carpenter/Locksmith	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Perform skilled trades working in locksmithing and carpentry on University owned buildings and furnishings. The normal working hours are typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. However, may be required to work other times including evenings and/or weekends to include responding to emergency calls. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University's requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Personnel who possess the special qualifications and training necessary for this position may apply. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Must obtain locksmith certificate and training within one year from date of hire. Completion of a carpenter apprenticeship or in lieu of completed apprenticeship, must have six years of full-time experience at journeyman skill level with experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial areas to include new framing, renovation, repairs, replacements, furniture installation, etc.
