This two-year, full time temporary position has the primary responsibility of teaching law courses in the School of Criminal Justice program in person on the main campus in Big Rapids. Courses will include Criminal Law and Procedure as well as Corrections Law as specified by the Michigan Correctional Officers Training Council (MCOTC). Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Must possess a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school. Be an active member of the Michigan Bar. Must have at least five years' experience in U.S. Criminal Law with experience in district, circuit, and family law courts.

The selected candidate will teach a variety of courses in Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics. Other teaching assignments in the Department's “Humanities Area,” will be based upon the candidate's teaching credentials, which may include; African American Studies, Humanities Studies, Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and/or other closely related fields. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The start date for this position is August 2025. Required: Ph.D. in Philosophy (or ABD with Ph.D. completion by August 1, 2025), and graduate coursework in Religious Studies and/or the Philosophy of Religion, OR Ph.D. in in Religious Studies and/or the Philosophy of Religion (or ABD with Ph.D., degree completion by August 1, 2025), and graduate coursework in Philosophy. This role involves supervising staff, mentoring students, managing budgets, enforcing policies, and fostering relationships with the university, alumni, local businesses, and the golf industry. Key responsibilities include event coordination, program innovation, and delivering inclusive, high-quality service to diverse groups. Reporting to the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services, the manager ensures operational excellence, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement through professional development, while working extended hours during the golf season to meet operational demands. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Professional Golf Management, Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related field. Class “A” PGA member in good standing. Five years of recent, demonstrated experience as a Golf Professional and/or Director of Golf. Experience should include progressive/increased levels of responsibility and authority, demonstrated experience in the development of golf activities, managing staff and in delivering golf instruction to all age groups.
