Summary of Position: |
The Content Creator Intern will be responsible for leading research and storytelling efforts around the ongoing collaboration between Ferris State University and Disability Advocates of Kent County (DAKC) that's focused on cultivating experience with, expertise in, and applications of inclusive design principles and strategies at Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD).
Through researching the existing landscape of inclusive design, observing work sessions and other interactions between DAKC and KCAD students/faculty/staff/alumni, and interviewing both internal participants and external stakeholders involved in the collaboration, this role will work to uncover a wide variety of compelling narratives that they'll then amplify through the creation of compelling and timely written, graphical, and photo/video content.
NOTE:
There are three Content Creator Intern roles to support this project, and students in these roles will work as an interdisciplinary team.
These are temporary positions that will run from January of 2025 through May of 2025, during which time each Content Creator Intern will work a maximum of 100 hours at a pay rate of $14/hour.
These roles will be supported by the University Advancement and Marketing team—in particular the team members based at KCAD—who will provide direction, feedback, and mentorship in all facets of the work.
