Advertised Salary: $12.48- $13.24  
Summary of Position: Duties may include research, documentation, assistance with testing of upgrades, and hands on activities related to Optometry Clinic technologies. Projects, assignments, and training will be assigned based on student's skills as well as departmental needs. Experience with various software and hardware packages is desirable but more important is comfort working with technology and a desire to learn and share. Must have excellent organizational, documentation, communication and troubleshooting skills as well as the tenacity to overcome project challenges. Students pursuing a degree in a technology related field are strongly encouraged to apply. Persons working in this position may be asked to work over semester breaks to assist with various technology related projects. This is a HIPAA environment, thus confidentiality of sensitive data must be maintained.  
Position Type: Student Employment  
Position Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. A solid understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations is essential to maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT, demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, and present a professional appearance and demeanor. Experience with various software and hardware packages is desirable but more important is comfort working with technology and a desire to learn and share. Must have excellent organizational, documentation, communication and troubleshooting skills as well as the tenacity to overcome project challenges.  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Work with MCO IT Analyst to troubleshoot Compulink(Eyecare) - login, printing, etc.
Utilize spreadsheets to update inventory of clinic and lab equipment
Work with University Eye Center (UEC) staff on reporting needs
Complete various college related projects for UEC
Work with outside vendor when needed for problem solving or updating Eyecare system.
Compile information for articles on various topics in eye care.
Other duties as assigned within general office and basic IT support.
