Summary of Position: The position involves operating digital and large format printing equipment and all associate activities, taking part in management of campus copier fleet and covering for manager when that person is out of the office  
Position Type: Staff  
Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Printing/Graphic Media or related field.
Satisfactory completion of two years of college or equivalent.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education: Two years of full-time, related work experience equals one year of education.
 
Required Work Experience: Two years of part-time work are equivalent to one year of full-time work.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Full-time experience with traditional print equipment, digital print and large-format equipment, and all associated support systems, including installation of large-format signage
Graphic Design Experience
Demonstrated experience with university systems such as Banner, Concur, etc.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Operates digital printing equipment and associated bindery equipment.
- Operates large-format printing equipment and associated finishing equipment.
- Performs installation of large-format projects as necessary.
- Schedules and prepares projects for printing and production using associated prepress and design programs such as Adobe products, Canva, Microsoft products, etc.
- Use MIS printing programs such as PrintSmith and Fiery.
- Organize workload to efficiently meet promised delivery dates.
- Recognize, analyze, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs to equipment. Contact service personnel, explain the problem in detail, and arrange repairs.
- Maintain adequate supply of paper and supplies, order if necessary, and ensure accuracy of materials inventory in the MIS system.
- Ensure the security of tests and confidential materials.
- Ensure the high quality of completed products.
- Provide lead support for the copier fleet and student printing programs on campus, working with others to provide services needed and with other departments to assist with support, installation, and maintenance of the copier fleet.
- Process reports for monthly chargebacks and upload to accounting.
- Monitor equipment and place calls for maintenance or service as required.
- Train and direct the work of student employees and part-time employees.
- Coordinate work assignments for full-time staff when needed.
- Maintain Concur and Banner records and prepare monthly balancing reports.
- Open and close the facility.
- Operate a cash register; balance daily receipts with cash sheets; prepare bank deposits.
- Report directly to the Print Services Manager.
- Perform certain duties to back up the Print Services Manager in the case of the manager's absence.
- Promote customer awareness of the variety of services provided
- Operate a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. Will authorize, pursuant to university policies and procedures, a driving record check, and will meet the driving authorization requirements through the course of employment in a position where you are authorized to drive a vehicle as part of your duties.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information pursuant to university policies and/or state or federal laws.
