Summary of Position: Responsible for arranging programs to provide information, support, and networking opportunities to current or prospective Ferris students who qualify for a Tuition Incentive Program Scholarship. This is a full-time position that may include travel and working limited evenings and weekends. The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following: organize activities for the TIP Program; provide intrusive follow-up of TIP students matriculating from Phase I to Phase II; serve as liaison between TIP students and their academic advisors, plan, implement and evaluate programs/events that assist TIP students with their academic progress and continued eligibility for funding through graduation; attend DAWG DAYS and orientation events to help recruit TIP eligible students.

Required Education: Master’s Degree.  
Required Work Experience: Minimum two years experience in post-secondary setting working directly with students. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to and background in working with a diverse student and staff population. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and various databases. Experience as a student leader or peer mentor.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:    
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Design, implement and evaluate programs to integrate TIP Scholars to campus and community life.
2. Monitor academic results for TIP Scholars and initiate outreach to those identified as being “at-risk.”
3. Refer TIP Scholars to appropriate campus services and organizations.
4. Serve on TIP Scholars Steering Committee in close collaboration with TIP related offices including financial aid, admissions, college directors and degree audit staff in their colleges.
5. Establish and maintain relationship with State TIP funding agency.
6. Assist in recruiting new TIP Scholars to Ferris State University.
7. Maintain records, databases, and reports related to TIP Scholars academic performance, enrollment, retention, and graduation.
8. Conduct research and complete reports about TIP students.
9. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
10. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Maintain the confidentiality of designated information.
2. Reports directly to the Director of RSS student Academic Affairs.
