Print Specialist – Ferris State University. This position is responsible for performing all duties of the Print Operator as well as various higher level duties such as ensuring equipment is in good working order, ensuring machine supplies are ordered and stocked as needed, setting up and maintaining equipment and directing the Student Employees and setting up projects for print and performing graphic design work. Adjunct Instructor 3 - Communication– Ferris State University. Ferris State University's Department of Humanities seeks applications for an instructor 3 to teach a full load of Communication courses for both the Fall and Spring semesters (4 sections each semester). This position will include teaching one or more sections of introductory Public Speaking. In addition, this position will also require the ability to teach one or more sections of Interpersonal Communication and/or Small Group Communication. There may be opportunities for teaching additional Communication courses in our curriculum, based on the department's needs and this instructor's qualifications and experience. The start date of this position is August 2024. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Master's in Communication or related field. Prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher in Public Speaking.

Part-Time Bus Driver – Ferris State University. Provide safe transportation for passengers, equipment, and packages. Assist in maintenance of University owned and leased vehicles. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Finance Big Rapids, MI 49307
Candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Finance classes. Classes may include: Personal Finance, Financial Management I, Financial Markets-Institutions, Real Estate Finance, Mathematics of Finance and other finance courses as needed. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiography. Facilities Operations Assistant Big Rapids, MI 49307
Facilities Operations Assistant– Ferris State University. Work with Facilities Management personnel on the daily operational duties of the Work Control Center (WCC) for the Big Rapids Campus and KCAD Campus. Work independently to supervise the student employees in the work control center area. Assist patrons to utilize the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) system and equipment. Provide clerical assistance to Facilities Management departments including processing payroll, data entry, and credit card reconciliations. This position is anticipated to be M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Three years of successful demonstrated hands-on experience responding to customer requests and issues in a call center/work distribution center/dispatcher/work control center or customer service environment. Experience working with computerized management software and Microsoft Office Suite. One year in a general office setting, preferably involving multi-line telephones and customer service.
Field Representative Multiple Locations
Represent the Ferris State University Charter Schools Office (FSU-CSO) to public school academies authorized by Ferris State University’s Board of Trustees. Field Representative(s) will attend academy board of directors meetings, visit and observe academy classrooms and administrative operations, and submit written reports to the Charter Schools Office for Marshall Academy and Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change. The position reports to the Big Rapids CSO office. Additionally, it is expected that, throughout your work, you will need to travel and support our efforts in promoting the statewide FSU student success hubs, dual enrollment opportunities, and building bridges between the charter schools you are supporting and Ferris to increase Ferris enrollment. The anticipated start date for this position is July 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor's degree in Education. Leadership experience and responsibilities in K-12 education within the last 3 years. Three years of classroom teaching experience as a certified teacher in K-12 education.
Assistant or Associate Professor of Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Engineering Technology (CET) at Ferris State University invites applicants for a tenure track position in the discipline of Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology (EAET). This position combines relevant experience in electronics and automation for a new program in the School of Engineering and Computing Technology (SECT). The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach courses, as well as develop and teach labs primarily focused, but not limited to automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), digital logic and communication networks for automation systems as well as other courses in relevant technological areas. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in continuous improvement and curriculum development in accordance with ABET accreditation criteria. Interfacing with industry and external agencies to direct the growth and development of the program will be expected in activities such as senior projects, grants, and advisory roles. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: 1. Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or a closely related field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 2. A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught OR 3.
