Summary of Position: |
Licensed RN to provide responsible care following the nursing process in a primary care setting to traditional college-aged population. Duties to include patient vitals, medication administration, phlebotomy, patient education and assisting providers with minor procedures. It could also include duties related to COVID-19. These positions are part-time temporary positions. The schedule may not be consistent and may appear more like a PRN model. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
rooming patients/taking vitals & health history
administering medications and vaccines
phlebotomy/specimen collection
assisting providers with minor procedures
administering allergy injections, TB Skin Tests
assist clerical staff with scheduling
coordinating patient referrals and outpatient testing/imaging
patient education/campus health promotion |

Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: |
Responsible for maintaining privacy and confidentiality of designated information and performing duties in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, including HIPAA and State of Michigan Board of Nursing. |
|
Skills and Abilities: |
Delivers nursing care to patients in a responsible and accountable manner as dictated legally by the State of Michigan. Care is to be provided to patients ethically and in a culturally competent manner.
Demonstrates competency with the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. |
