Summary of Position: Provide musical support to the Conductor of the Concert Choir as the part-time piano accompanist in rehearsals and performances of the SATB Concert Choir, and possibly of other vocal ensemble configurations.

 
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing  
Required Education: High School Diploma.  
Required Work Experience: • Successful experience in accompanying SATB choirs on the piano in rehearsal and performance settings.
• Successful experience with part reading on the piano with vocal ensembles.
• Successful experience in sight reading on the piano with vocal ensembles.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:    
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Provide musical support to the Conductor of the Concert Choir as the part-time piano accompanist in rehearsals and performances of the SATB Concert Choir, and possibly of other vocal ensemble configurations. This includes the ability to sight read and do part reading on the piano with vocal ensembles.

Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
 
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities:    
Skills and Abilities: • Ability to perform the piano at a level sufficient to accompany the Concert Choir and possible other vocal ensemble configurations.
• Ability to do part reading on the piano.
• Ability to sight-read well on the piano.
• Ability to follow the musical direction and instructions of the Conductor of the Concert Choir.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
