4S Program Coordinator Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Program Coordinator for Select Student Support Services (4S) serves as the primary liaison for the Determined Dawgs Scholar Academy (DDSA). DDSA is a selective, four-week summer bridge program designed to support conditionally admitted freshmen in their transition to Ferris State University. The program primarily serves students who may be the first in their family to attend college, require additional academic support, or come from under-resourced communities. In this role, the coordinator facilitates communication and collaboration among program staff, university departments, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to student success. Responsibilities include overseeing program evaluation, managing data collection and reporting, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The coordinator reports to the Coordinator of Student Success Initiatives. This is a temporary, grant funded position set to end on September 30th, 2029, with a possibility of renewal/continuation determined by continuation of the grant. The anticipated start date is August 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field. Evidenced experience in program coordination, project management, or student support services within higher education.
Ferris Outfitters Merchandise Associate Big Rapids, MI 49307
Manages the prepping and storing of incoming store merchandise. Replenish the floor with products, maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, and create merchandise displays when needed. Assists with customer questions and concerns about product on the sales floor as well as be proactive in theft situations. Help oversee inventory counts and maintain records. Public Safety Dispatcher Big Rapids, MI 49307
Under the direction of the Director of Public Safety, this position is responsible for Public Safety communication system, monitors campus wide security cameras, maintain after-hours access control, and perform a variety of police records support functions, some of which require special certification. These positions will have a 4-day work week per week, 10-hour work day schedule with a shift differential of $.30 per hour, as defined in the CTA/MEA contract. The work hours for these positions are from 3:00pm – 2:00am, with a one-hour unpaid lunch period. The work schedules for these positions are as follows: Dispatcher 1/Week 1 – Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction for students in the Baccalaureate Degree Nursing program as assigned within the acute care or community clinical setting. Working with dental hygiene faculty, adjunct instructors, and staff to provide supervision and evaluation of dental hygiene students in pre-clinical and clinical courses, dental radiology, and other dental hygiene courses. The supervising dentist works under the direction of the Dental Hygiene Clinic Operations Supervisor. This is a pooled position.
