This position may carry a dual responsibility of teaching and up to a 50% coaching load. The primary duties are to serve as the Coach of the Forensics/Debate Team and to teach two foundational undergraduate communication courses. 1) Forensics/Debate Team Coach (up to 50%) – The Coach will lead a dynamic and comprehensive forensics program, which may include individual events, various debate formats, and other relevant competitive activities. The Educational Counselor’s primary duties are educational counseling including academic support programming, disability and accessibility accommodations processes and support, and career support for students. This position is primarily located in Big Rapids and assists students in the College of Pharmacy with additional assistance to KCAD and the Michigan College of Optometry as time permits and will include occasional travel to other campus locations.
