Adjunct Instructor - Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) in Big Rapids, MI 49307
Provide in-person clinical teaching and patient care at the University Eye Center campus clinic (Big Rapids). The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to provide clinical education on a semester-by-semester basis. Compensation for the position is determined by degree held, residency, experience and certifications. See Tiered schedule information: Tier 1 ($53.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) without Residency; and 2 years' experience Tier 2 ($61.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) with Residency; and 3 years' experience; and Fellowship (FAAO, FOVDRA, etc.) or equivalent certifications Tier 3 ($69.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) with Residency; and 5 years' experience; and Fellowship; and national professional organization lectures/posters and/or other published works. The anticipated start date is September 2025 and remains ongoing as needed. Required: At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. At the time of appointment, the applicant must have or be eligible for a Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certifications for appointment to the college's clinical staff. At least one year of residency experience or have at least 2 years in patient care work experience.

Adjunct Instructor - Pediatric Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) in Flint, MI 48503
This position will initially involve in-person patient care at an MCO external clinic location (Flint, MI) two days per week and work in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and external partners to develop a patient base that will support future resident and/or externship education. This position will be responsible for clinic growth and development in coordination with Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and external partners. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at an approved Ferris site. Compensation for the position is determined by degree held, residency, experience and certifications. See Tiered schedule information: Tier 1 ($53.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) without Residency; and 2 years' experience; Tier 2 ($61.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Adjunct Instructor - Computer Information Systems in Multiple Locations
The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Computer Information System classes as needed. Classes may include: programming (Java, Python, etc.), database design/ implementation/ administration, web development, systems analysis and design, and ERP (SAP) systems. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date is August 2025 at the earliest or January 2026 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, OR Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology. Candidates with appropriate certifications and relevant teaching experience are preferred. Three years of industry experience in IS or IT related field with direct experience in one of the areas to be taught.

Ferris State University’s School of Digital Media invites applications for ongoing adjunct positions as needs arise within the School. The School of Digital Media (SDM) at Ferris offers Bachelor's degrees that seek to provide applied learning experiences for students through small class sizes and project-oriented coursework. We offer equipment and software-intensive learning experience throughout the school from the student’s freshman experience through graduation. We seek to prepare graduates with a broad set of skills that will allow them to pursue jobs in a wide range of Television, Film, Digital Media, Gaming, 3D Animation, and Software Engineering Careers. Expertise in one or more of these disciplines is valued. Ideal candidates will bring professional experience working in some of these environments and a broad range of technical and creative skills. A candidate’s ability to bring relevance to the classroom through their professional experiences is highly desired. This is a pooled position.
