Enrollment Services Software Specialist in Big Rapids, MI 49307
Work independently and under minimal supervision to implement and coordinate the operations of the Enrollment Services e-communication software system and any other assigned computerized system(s) that may be used in Enrollment Services. Serves as the liaison with the software company to implement and make revisions to the software. Communicate and perform duties in a manner that provides excellent service and is responsive to customer needs. Function as a ‘lead worker’ to assist others and answer questions relating to technical software systems used in the department. Required: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Database Technology, Business or equivalent. Two years of full time experience that includes working with electronic recruiting systems or large database software systems.

Perform custodial duties independently or within a team environment as assigned, providing a high standard of cleanliness. This is a custodial position M-F, 5:00 pm – 1:30 am. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Valid driver's license. Custodial/Janitorial work experience in a commercial-hospital-school environment, in a commercial cleaning service, or completion of the Ferris State University JANUS (custodial) training. Demonstrated experience with correct operation of a variety of commercial custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaner, automatic scrubber, high speed burnisher, single disc scrubber, carpet extraction/shampoo equipment or other essential or similar custodial equipment.

Ferris State University seeks qualified candidates to teach part-time in the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Instruction occurs on campus, at off-campus locations, and online. Course Assignment: IDSL 840 Qualitative Research Methods and Data Analysis. Addresses foundational principles of methods of qualitative inquiry, with emphasis on ensuring ethical standards, establishing assumptions and limitations for a study, developing appropriate research questions and approach, and designing effective data collection methods. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Applications will be retained until vacancies arise, at which time qualified candidates may be contacted. This posting is for a 7 ½ week mixed delivery course – typically one face-to-face weekend (either in Michigan or Houston, Texas) followed by online instruction. The candidate(s) must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment and the duration of time performing services for Ferris State University.
