Starters/Rangers/Players' Assistants – Ferris State University. The starter/players' assistant has one of the most important positions in the golf operation. They are the golf course steward who starts, directs the flow of traffic, enforces the club rules and regulations, instructs the players in the code of etiquette, oversees the golf course grounds and assists the players with any on course problems. This is a seasonal position. Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency with a valid driver’s license. Prior golf knowledge.
Electrical Supervisor Big Rapids, MI 49307
Electrical Supervisor– Ferris State University. Responsible for the 7200 volt distribution system. Supervise and coordinate work activities of the Electrical Department engaged in assembly, installation and repair of equipment related to electrical operations. Maintenance and renovation of University facilities including but not limited to, distribution systems, battery systems, emergency lighting systems, preventative maintenance, generators, etc. Serve as project manager providing oversight for contracted and in-house construction and renovation projects. Oversight and responsibility for campus conveyance systems (i.e., elevators, lifts, etc.) Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent. State of Michigan Master Electrician license. Valid driver’s license. Five years of experience in the electrical field with quantifiable experience in industrial, commercial, residential and maintenance work. Demonstrated work experience in medium and high voltage electrical distribution maintenance/repairs, maintenance frequency, procedures, etc. Three years of supervisory experience directly related to the electrical trade with emphasis on high voltage and distribution systems.
Associate Director of Charter Schools Big Rapids, MI 49307
Under the direction of the Director of Charter Schools, provide leadership and administrative service necessary to accomplish the goals of Ferris State University as they pertain to Charter Schools. This position includes researching and utilizing data to help provide direction for the Charter Schools Office. Monitor and assess the contractual progress of the public school academies authorized by the University. In collaboration with CSO staff, establish and monitor contractual academic goals, develop assessment, monitoring strategies, and reporting methods that provide clear and detailed information demonstrating all aspects of performance for each academy. The position reports to the Big Rapids CSO office. Additionally, it is expected that, throughout your work, you will need to travel and support our efforts in promoting the statewide FSU student success hubs, dual enrollment opportunities, and building bridges between the charter schools you are supporting and Ferris to increase Ferris enrollment. The anticipated start date for this position is July 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in educational field. A current valid driver’s license. Demonstrated highly effective managerial and organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills. Five years in school leadership role; demonstrated successful experience with managerial and organizational responsibilities in K-12 education.
Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Tenure-track 12-month position as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. Individuals with experience in adult inpatient clinical pharmacy practice settings along with commitment to the teacher/scholar model and service are encouraged to apply. Primary responsibilities consist of establishing and maintaining an adult inpatient medicine or medicine subspecialty clinical pharmacy practice at an affiliated health system in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area with experiential and didactic teaching as key responsibilities. The individual will also be expected to develop individual or collaborative research consistent with the mission and vision of the College. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, contributing to the Department, College, University and profession through participation on committees, continuing professional development, and mentoring students. The anticipated start date of this position is July 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: PharmD from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited institution.
