KCAD has dual enrollment partnerships with many high schools throughout Michigan. These high schools offer students the opportunity to take KCAD classes for KCAD college credit. The classes are taught in the high school or in another site in the high school area. The Architecture and Facility Management Department seeks applications for a part-time, temporary faculty position. Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience: The following combination of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the associate's level (1xx-2xx): 1. a bachelor's degree or higher out of field and an associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience. 2. a bachelor's degree out of field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. 3. an associate's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the baccalaureate level (3xx-4xx): 1. a master's degree or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor's or associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course taught. 2. a bachelor's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught; or, an associate's degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 7 years of relevant industry experience. Ferris State University is seeking a well-qualified and experienced applicant for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to serve within the School of Criminal Justice. The responsibilities will include teaching courses in the School of Criminal Justice program both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Full time faculty members at KCAD teach 18 semester credit hours per academic year, typically 3 courses each fall and spring semester. As a KCAD faculty member, you will engage in three kinds of professional development: continuous improvement in teaching effectiveness, creative and/or scholarly contribution within your discipline, and a college service commitment that includes committee work and community engagement for the advancement of KCAD’s mission. You will actively advise students regarding their academic plan and progress as well as their co-curricular and post-graduation opportunities. The program prepares students for careers in the fashion industry through key studio classes integrating concept development, design, materials, garment construction, pattern-making, draping, drawing, digital technologies and research/development. Program includes fashion shows, community collaborations, a fashion lab, and support courses in General Education and Art History add broader context to the program; with an optional senior year experience at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. Educational Counselor/Assistant Professor (12 mos. Tenure-Track) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Educational Counselor’s primary duties are educational counseling including academic support programming, disability and accessibility accommodations processes and support, and career support for students. This position is primarily located in Big Rapids and assists students in the College of Pharmacy with additional assistance to KCAD and the Michigan College of Optometry as time permits and will include occasional travel to other campus locations. The position works closely with the College of Pharmacy Assistant Dean of Student Success (ADSS) to help ensure compliance with all accreditation standards related to student services.
