Advertised Salary: $145,000 to $160,000. Salary commensurate with education, experiences and other requirements. Comprehensive benefit package (health care, vacation, etc.)

Summary of Position: Directs the management and operation of campus facilities by coordination, supervision and leadership, to include: operation and maintenance of campus buildings, grounds, roads and walks; transportation services (motor pool & bus operations); custodial services; power plant and utilities; energy management; overall responsibilities, typically new construction and remodeling; shipping, receiving, and mailroom; plant stores; and disposition of surplus goods.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Engineering/Business Administration or related field(s).  
Required Work Experience: Minimum five to ten years of progressive, supervisory/management experience in institutional or industrial facilities. Must possess demonstrated skills in project management, financial management and budgeting, planning, scheduling, employee relations, and supervision.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Experience in facilities operations. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, will be considered.

Master's Degree preferred.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain all buildings, grounds, and facilities.
Manage all functional areas of responsibility for the facilities through supervision of the assigned leaders.
Develop, maintain, and monitor all facility operations and projects and related budgets.
Maintain a collaborative work environment with all represented and non-represented Ferris employees.
Work with University administration to continuously improve the service levels and develop the necessary organization to fulfill Facilities responsibilities in support of the Strategic Plan and other initiatives.
Provide the support and leadership that inspires excellence.
Utilize facilities Project Management staff to develop and maintain project planning in conjunction with the Campus Master Plan, including new construction, renovations, grounds, and building maintenance.
Work with various state and federal governmental agencies to coordinate project funding and related reporting/record-keeping.
Manage the departments in compliance with collective bargaining agreements, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
