Summary of Position: Provide clinical teaching and patient care at the University Eye Center campus clinic (Big Rapids).

This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to provide clinical educational on a semester-by-semester basis.

We are looking to fill these positions as soon as possible.
 
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing  
Required Education: Optometry (O.D. Degree) or Ophthalmologist (M.D. or D.O. Degree)  
Required Work Experience: At least two years of recent clinical experience or one year of clinical residency.  
Required Licenses and Certifications: Current Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certification or equivalent licensure for M.D. or D.O. applicants.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Previous experience supervising and training optometry interns.  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Will be required to assume duties in patient care and teaching in the clinic.
Will require evaluating student clinical proficiency,
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
