Summary of Position: |
• Under the direction of the AVP/Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Staff Training and Process Coordinator is responsible for the creation and delivery of training and professional development programs and logistics for the non-faculty staff of the University. • In addition, the position will work with the Senior HR Generalist to assist in the recruitment, job posting, and onboarding processes. • The incumbent must display a commitment to providing superior service and value working with a diverse constituency. • Develop, coordinate, and conduct training and professional development programs both in person and online for employees for all Ferris locations. • Maintain training databases, develop & deliver training, and collect assessments for continuous improvement. • Support the HR employment team to ensure the timely completion of all recruitment, job posting, and onboarding processes. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
• Consult with the Associate Vice President/ Chief Human Resources Officer (AVP/CHRO) and University staff to identify training needs and develop specific programs to meet those needs. • Work as an integral member of the HR Team to ensure organizational development and training programs are provided for University staff. • Coordinate other assigned training. • Plan, promote, conduct, and evaluate responsive organizational development and training programs for staff on a regular basis. • Develop a monthly, quarterly, and annual training program. • Determine the most appropriate method of program delivery, e.g. on-line, interactive, lecture or group instruction. • Be trained and maintain certification in Microsoft Office, First Aid, CPR, AED, within three months of hire. • Become trained and certified (if appropriate) in other areas of training and development based on the needs of the University. • Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. • Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives. • Maintain, update, and facilitate the New Employee Orientation program. • Implement a process to monitor and review the effectiveness of training. programs/materials by analyzing feedback from University staff and facilitators. • Develop and prepare periodic and special reports. • Make recommendations for program improvement, meeting the needs of the organization in a positive and collegial manner. • Ensure that training materials are current, accurate and relevant. • Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training and development. • Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions. • Collaborate with HR staff to ensure alignment and consistency of training. • Work with the HR employment team to assist with the recruitment, job posting, hiring and onboarding processes. • Assist with the maintenance and auditing of employment data and information. • Maintain the confidentiality of designated information. • Perform all duties in compliance with applicable University policies and procedures as well as state and federal requirements. • Work with other areas of the Human Resources Department to maintain the HR Web Page. • Provide excellent customer service, be responsive to inquiries, and work to identify and resolve problems. • Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |
