Summary of Position: |
Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Life, the Event Services Manager is responsible for ensuring events are ready for guests, directing set-up staff, ensuring equipment is in working condition and all staff communication. This position requires sound judgment and decision making in the absence of the full-time staff. The Event Services Manager should be familiar with the goals, policies and procedures of the David L. Eisler Center operations and be able to coordinate and direct the activities of other student employees. Responsibilities for carrying out the David L. Eisler Center policies and regulations include assisting with hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling student managers and set up staff.
Event Services Manager will be knowledgeable of building operations, events, and staff responsibilities. They will be fluent in problem solving and de-escalation of complications that may arise. This position will be expected to assist with events in the evenings and weekends.

Position Requirements: |
- 2 semesters of experience as a David L. Eisler Center employee - Have/Maintain a GPA of 2.7 - Have/Maintain a valid driver’s license - Lift 50 pounds - Availability during school/holiday breaks - Proficient with Microsoft Office programs - Work a minimum of 20 hours within the David L. Eisler Center per week |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
- Assist in Hiring/Scheduling/Training/Coaching of Student Managers and Set-Up Staff . - Keep Inventory of David L. Eisler Center Equipment - Conduct Monthly/Bi-Weekly Meetings with Staff - Be available by phone when needed and have respectable communication skills - Maintain confidentiality with various aspects of the position - Always represent the David L. Eisler Center with a positive and respectful attitude - Utilize Event Draw design software to prepare for event review and event set-up - Create and distribute regular communication to staff on updates and events - Have intimate knowledge of all Audio and Visual Equipment - Work closely with Set Up Coordinator to ensure all event spaces are prepared and cleaned regularly - Work a minimum of one (1) evening or weekend set-up shift every pay period. - Work special events if other staff are unable to - Follow and supports the goals/policies/procedures of the David L. Eisler Center operations - Any and other tasks assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Life |
