Summary of Position: |
Adjunct Instructor-3, 9-month temporary for the Health Administration/Health Information Department. This position includes teaching core and interdisciplinary health courses in the College of Health Professions. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses, or sometimes online. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
• Provide classroom and online instruction as assigned (some evening hours may be required). • Teach core and interdisciplinary health courses in the College of Health Professions. • Maintain currency within the discipline in area(s) of expertise. • Maintain a consistent physical presence on the main campus for the purpose of engagement in the University community and the advancement of the health programs. • Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. • Adhere to the policies of the college and university. • Faculty members also have professional responsibilities that may include continuing professional development; participation in curriculum development and university committees; orientation, recruitment, and registration of students; keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (i.e. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. • Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically. • Active engagement in assessment of student learning and its related analysis and improvement processes. • Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |
