Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: |
Master's degree in information systems or related field. Experience in higher education preferred. Experience with ColdFusion. Experience with SQL Database management and SQL scripting. Experience with Enterprise Applications and performing installs/upgrades and updates. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Creates and updates access permissions to maintain application security through user profile management. Monitors and maintains performance metrics for application features and recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions. Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system problems and resolves issues and questions by working with vendors. Participates in the evaluation of vendor software releases and impact. Coordinates and monitors updates and the installation of upgrades and patches. Recommends application enhancements or changes that may involve custom design, integrations, and third-party products. Participates in the design, development, and implementation of test and production objects. Defines user requirements and performs configuration, change management, and testing activities. Develops and maintains documentation related to the system. Communicates system enhancement or changes as needed. Plans and directs staff implementation of small to medium technical projects related to system as needed. Regularly communicates with internal leadership to assess efficacy of system and discuss improvements and new features. Assists in the design, development, implementation and administration of departmental and campus wide applications and systems. Assists in making recommendations for the selection of technology solutions to align with business strategies. Provides basic procedural and technical guidance to functional areas regarding technology usage and management. Works with other lead workers to facilitate technology needs in their respective areas to support the university function. Works to stay current on technologies in the field of information technology specifically in higher education. Attend conferences and report back key findings and initiatives seen amongst other vendors and industries. Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |

Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: |
Work closely with other IT staff at peak times for coverage of systems and services. Lift, move and relocate computer network equipment. |
|
