Assistant Professor - Diagnostic Medical Sonography

9-month tenure-track faculty position, which includes teaching and related responsibilities in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Responsibilities include: preparing and delivering lectures, providing instruction, and preparing, administering, and grading examinations, advising students on related academic matters, engaging in scholarly activities and professional development, and serving on departmental and faculty committees to promote curriculum development within the College of Health Professions. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 at the earliest and January 2026 at the latest. Required: Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or health related field. Must earn MS degree within 3 years of hire. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB), and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). 3 years of clinical experience in direct patient care. |

This position will provide full-time continuing clerical support to the Jim Crow Museum. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent such as military, technical training, or business/technical schooling. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education. Two years full-time secretarial work experience to include bookkeeping, and customer relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word and Excel. |
Assistant Director of Multicultural Student Services

The Assistant Director reports directly to the Director of the Office of Multicultural Student Services. This position coordinates various recognized cultural heritage celebrations that highlight the importance of embedding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the University community. The Assistant Director assists the Director in the implementation of departmental initiatives that support student development, retention, belonging, and participates in daily operations of the department. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, human services, general business or a related field. Two years experience working in a diversity/minority or multicultural related position. |
