Adjunct Instructor 1 - Artificial Intelligence – Ferris State University. Part-time teaching and related responsibilities: utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Required: Master’s degree in Data Science, IT/IS Security/Intelligence or related field from an accredited college or university. Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Security & Intelligence or similar field with emphasis in AI, data science or cybersecurity. A certification in the area the candidate will teach, which may include the following relevant security areas: information security; Information assurance; IT security; data mining and analysis; intelligence analysis; penetration testing; network security; visual/link analysis; digital forensics; secure application development; data base; risk assessment; fraud; ethics. Three years of industry experience or two years industry experience plus additional education beyond master's degree or certifications in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or data science. Background sufficient to teach application in healthcare or cybersecurity content areas.

Adjunct Instructor 1 – Communication – Ferris State University. The Humanities Department seeks applications for instructors to teach one or more sections of communication courses for the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Potential communication courses may include public speaking and/or interpersonal communication and/or small group communication. Required: Master's degree in Communication or related field. Prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher in Public Speaking.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography Big Rapids, MI 49307
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Ferris State University. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Founded in 1884, the Ferris’ founding philosophy of a practical, hands-on approach to education that enables students to learn practical skills for new jobs in a changing world still resonates loudly today. Our education is “where theory meets practice.” This, together with a committed faculty, individual attention and career-oriented degrees, prepares graduates who find employment in their field after graduation. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction, however, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is May of 2024 at the earliest and August of 2024 at the latest. Required: Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or health related field. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen (AB), and Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). Three years of clinical experience in direct patient care.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Reading Big Rapids, MI 49307
Adjunct Instructor 1 – Reading – Ferris State University. This position has responsibilities for teaching Foundations – Analytical Reading or Analytical Reading at Ferris State University. Instruction will focus on providing students with the opportunity to become critical readers by increasing vocabulary, enhancing reading comprehension and recall, and improving reading skills to better prepare for college level reading. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in Reading, Developmental Education, Special Education or related field. Experience teaching and/or developmental studies at the college or K-12 levels. Experience teaching reading, developmental-level, and/or language arts at the high school and/or post-secondary levels.

The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required is a Master’s degree in IT/IS Security or related field from an accredited college or university, OR Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in IT/IS Security. Five years of industry experience in IT/IS Security related field with direct experience in one of the areas to be taught. Requires certification in the area the candidate will teach, which may include the following relevant security areas: information security; Information assurance; IT security; data mining and analysis; intelligence analysis; penetration testing; network security; visual/link analysis; digital forensics; secure application development; data base; risk assessment; fraud; ethics.
