Assistant Professor - Mathematics Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Mathematics Department seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor to teach math courses, engage in relevant scholarship, guide undergraduate projects, work with faculty to implement recent curricular and instructional reforms, and support retention. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The start date of this position will be August 2025. Required: PhD in Mathematics OR PhD in Mathematics Education with master's level background in mathematics. Prior teaching experience. Potential for curricular and instructional innovation, interest in student recruitment, potential for guiding undergraduate projects.
Academic Records Assistant - Full-time Temporary Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Assist with the accurate data entry and maintenance of student academic records, academic courses, and provide excellent student/customer-centered service at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Reports directly to the Dean of Academic Affairs at KCAD. This position will require the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events such as commencement. This is a full-time temporary position ending June 30, 2025. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years of college or equivalent. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. At least two years of successful work experience performing duties requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
Associate Vice President/Dean of Enrollment Services Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Associate Vice President (AVP)/Dean of Enrollment Services will provide leadership, direction and coordination of all aspects of enrollment services at Ferris State University. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and is responsible for the development and implementation of University enrollment policies and procedures and for ensuring compliance with enrollment standards across the institution. The AVP/Dean directly supervises Admissions, Commencement, Financial Aid, Institutional Research and Testing, Orientation, Registrar, and Veterans Resource Center and coordinates collaboration regarding enrollment (recruitment and retention) and other enrollment-related services across the University. The AVP/Dean will work across the institution to ensure delivery of quality services to constituents, including but not limited to prospective, current, and former students, their families, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, community college administration, and K-12 leadership. The AVP/Dean generates and distributes reports and data to inform about enrollment-related trends, issues and goals. Required: Master’s degree in a related discipline. 7 years’ experience in higher education enrollment services or related higher education with supervisor responsibilities. Evidence of leading data-driven strategies with a strong emphasis on increasing student enrollment. Demonstrated experience in strategic research and planning, data analysis and reporting, budgeting and supervision. Provide leadership in day-to-day financial aid functions, focusing on electronic processes used in awarding and disbursing federal, state and institutional aid. The Assistant Dean/Director is responsible for effective administration of federal, state and institutional programs, including monitoring of awards, and reconciliation. Responsibilities include assistance in daily operations, planning and assessment, data analysis, and public speaking. The Assistant Dean/Director will possess expert knowledge of financial aid policy, processes, and procedures and provide financial aid counseling to a diverse population of constituents regarding the application process, aid eligibility, and available financial options. Also supports Student Enrollment activities in all locations of the University. Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of recent progressively responsible experience in financial aid administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
