Student Success Initiatives Staff Assistant Big Rapids, MI 49307
This position supports the Office of Student Success Initiatives and University College’s grant-funded programs, funded by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO). The SSI Staff Assistant will collaborate with the Student Success Initiatives Director and 4S Grants Program Coordinator to plan, develop, and implement SSI programs. Additionally, this role will assist in the development and execution of Determined Dawg Student Success Program events and support select functions of the Determined Dawgs Scholar Academy. The SSI Staff Assistant will also help develop and facilitate student onboarding for the Navigate360 student success platform.
Admissions Recruiter Metro Detroit
Provide administrative leadership and management of student recruiting activities for the University’s academic programming. This position will engage in a variety of recruiting activities, including regional and national travel, high school visits, career fairs, portfolio reviews, and recruitment events. The position also includes providing general information about academic programs, and ensuring prospective students are informed about admissions processes, housing, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities. The Admissions Recruiter will help meet enrollment goals and act as the primary contact for prospective students. This position will be positioned in Metro Detroit. This role reports to TBD. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Valid driver’s license required. Work experience in an aspect of recruitment, marketing, public relations, and/or financial aid. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills which include attention to detail and accuracy. Must be proficient with information multiple forms of technology and its applications for delivery and management of student recruitment.
Library Director Big Rapids, MI 49307
Ferris State University seeks an experienced, collaborative and services-oriented leader to position university libraries for ongoing excellence in student success. The incumbent is responsible for the efficient management and direction of the main library located in Big Rapids, Michigan and the additional library location in Grand Rapids, Michigan and will require some travel to that location. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of emerging technologies, federal, state and institutional requirements, library best practices, and be guided by the university and college strategic priorities in the development and effective coordination of library operations and services. This is a 12-month, administrative position reporting to the Dean of University College. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a competitive benefits package. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2025. Required: American Library Association (ALA)-accredited Master’s degree. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible, job-related, experiences preferably in an academic library setting.

Assistant Manager, Ferris Outfitters and Spark Multiple Locations
The Assistant Manager assists the Manager with day-to-day operations of both campus stores (Big Rapids & Grand Rapids), including the administration of the textbook and course material ordering program offered in partnership with the contracted online textbook partner. The Assistant Manager assists in the administration of operational policies, procedures and processes along with merchandise receiving, data entry, merchandising, and the stocking of products. This position assists with the training and supervision of student and part-time staff and is responsible for both store activities in the absence of the Campus Store Manager. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education. At least one year of prior experience in a retail environment with a supervisory role including sales, cash handling, point of sale systems, inventory and merchandise management experience.
