The Department of Construction Technology & Management invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Primary responsibilities include teaching and advising students in a four-year BS Construction Management program ACCE. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction technology and construction management topics. Position may require teaching online or at off-campus location in Grand Rapids. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024. Required 1. Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial). OR 2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND an MBA plus five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. OR 3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and eight years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. A Master's degree in field or an approved related field will be required prior to tenure. Required work experience is based on degree attained. If a candidate has a PhD in Construction Management, five years full-time US commercial or industrial construction experience is required. If a candidate has a PhD in a closely related field, but not actually Construction Management, the Master's degree must be in Construction Management and five years full-time commercial or industrial construction experience is required. |

Starters/Rangers/Players' Assistants – Ferris State University. The starter/players' assistant has one of the most important positions in the golf operation. They are the golf course steward who starts, directs the flow of traffic, enforces the club rules and regulations, instructs the players in the code of etiquette, oversees the golf course grounds and assists the players with any on course problems. This is a seasonal position. Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency with a valid driver’s license. Prior golf knowledge. |
Electrical Supervisor

Electrical Supervisor– Ferris State University. Responsible for the 7200 volt distribution system. Supervise and coordinate work activities of the Electrical Department engaged in assembly, installation and repair of equipment related to electrical operations. Maintenance and renovation of University facilities including but not limited to, distribution systems, battery systems, emergency lighting systems, preventative maintenance, generators, etc. Serve as project manager providing oversight for contracted and in-house construction and renovation projects. Oversight and responsibility for campus conveyance systems (i.e., elevators, lifts, etc.) Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent. State of Michigan Master Electrician license. Valid driver’s license. Five years of experience in the electrical field with quantifiable experience in industrial, commercial, residential and maintenance work. Demonstrated work experience in medium and high voltage electrical distribution maintenance/repairs, maintenance frequency, procedures, etc. Three years of supervisory experience directly related to the electrical trade with emphasis on high voltage and distribution systems. |

Independently perform accounting-related activities related to the General Ledger of assigned fund groups and the University’s Financial Statements. Analyze and maintain records related to Fixed Assets and property accounting within the Finance Office. Analyze, audit, reconcile accounts and assist with internal audit as assigned. This is an in person on site position, currently after the probationary period one day a week may be considered for remote work. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
