Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education and Training (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. These positions are limited to no more 28 hours per week. This is a pooled position and our anticipated start date is Fall 2024 (preferably August) and/or Spring (preferably January) 2025. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications as appropriate to program assignment such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Two years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials.

Assistant Professor - Michigan College of Optometry – Cornea and Contact Lens - Ferris State University. Full-time 12-month tenure-track faculty position. Responsible for teaching in laboratory, classroom, and clinic. The candidate will be expected to develop in patient care, teaching/advising, scholarly/professional activities, and service. At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and must either have completed an accredited optometric residency or have an equivalent degree or experience in patient care. At least one year of residency experience or commensurate work/professional experience. Residency experience in specialty contact lens and anterior segment disease is preferred. At the time of appointment, the applicant must have or be eligible for a Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certifications for appointment to the college's clinical staff.
