Under the direction of the Director of Charter Schools, the Associate Director of Charter Schools will provide leadership and administrative support to advance Ferris State University’s goals related to its charter school authorizing responsibilities. This full-time, in-person position, based on the Big Rapids campus, is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the academic and contractual performance of the University’s 23 authorized public-school academies. The Associate Director will collaborate with Charter Schools Office (CSO) staff to establish academic performance goals, develop assessment and monitoring strategies, and implement data-driven reporting methods to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. This position will be responsible for coordinating reporting processes aligned with state and national accreditation requirements. The role also includes regular in-state travel to meet with academy leadership, support student success initiatives, promote dual enrollment opportunities, and strengthen partnerships that connect charter schools with Ferris to help increase university enrollment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including school leaders, boards, and community members. This position requires sound critical thinking, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines, and a high degree of professionalism when navigating complex or sensitive situations. Adjunct Instructor 3 - Construction Management Big Rapids, MI 49307
We are seeking a 3-year full-time temporary faculty member (9-month contract) to teach face-to-face in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, Construction Management BS and Facilities Management BS. Director of Student Athlete Academic Success Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Director of Student-Athlete Academic Success at Ferris State University provides comprehensive academic support and leadership for student-athletes participating in the 17 NCAA and GLIAC/CCHA-sanctions sports. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, this position works closely with the Coordinator of Compliance and Student-Athlete Success and the Athletic Learning Specialist to ensure academic excellence and NCAA compliance for over 400 student-athletes. The position will support students across multiple varsity sports, monitor academic progress, and assist with course registration and degree planning. The Director will coordinate faculty progress reports (EAB), manage academic feedback systems for academically vulnerable students, and work with the registrar’s office in timely and accurate reporting of eligibility certification. The position will collaborate with coaches, faculty, and campus departments to promote student-athlete success and retention while connecting student-athletes with available campus resources at FSU and maintaining compliance with NCAA, GLIAC/CCHA, and institutional regulations. Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Division I or II intercollegiate athletics department. Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as it relates to academic eligibility.
Adjunct Instructor 1- Project Management Multiple Locations
The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Project Management classes as needed. Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Adjunct Faculty - Art and Design, High School Dual Enrollment Program Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. KCAD has dual enrollment partnerships with many high schools throughout Michigan. These high schools offer students the opportunity to take KCAD classes for KCAD college credit. The classes are taught in the high school or in another site in the high school area.
