Advertised Salary: $13.73 per hour, plus room and meal plan (when available)  
Summary of Position: The Housing Summer Assistant is a paraprofessional staff member within the Office of Housing and Residence Life. This position works to prepare residential buildings for occupancy prior to the start of the fall academic year.  
Position Requirements: - Candidates must demonstrate the ability to role model and promote the University’s mission and vision.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs and remain on their feet for extended periods of time.
- This position is a 3-month position, running from May to August with dates that are negotiable.
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare residential buildings for occupancy prior to the start of the academic year.
- Complete Room Condition Reports (RCRs).
- Ensure rooms contain the correct furniture and are properly set up.
- Verify that all rooms have functioning keys.
- Work within closed residence halls across campus.
- Maintain a professional presence while working in student residential spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
