    • Adjunct Instructor 1 - Health Information Technology in Multiple Locations

      Provide online didactic instruction for students in the Associate of Applied Science of Health Information Technology program as assigned in the College of Health Professions. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January of 2025 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. Required: Bachelor's degree in health information management. Minimum three years in a health information management department.

    • Assistant Professor - Sales and Marketing (9-month, Tenure Track) in Big Rapids, MI 49307

      The Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales and marketing. The ideal candidate should be able to teach variety of sales related classes (e.g., Professional Selling, Sales Management, Advanced Selling, and Supply Chain Management) as well as other marketing classes such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Data Analysis, Sports Marketing, and Digital Marketing. Teaching graduate courses in sales might also be required. The candidate will participate in development and improvement of curriculum and curriculum delivery, assessment of student learning, service work including student engagement activities and committees, and engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. Faculty members have professional responsibilities which include advising students, participation in committees, keeping regular posted office hours, and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus and/or online. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: PhD or DBA in Marketing with an emphasis in sales or closely related field. If doctorate is in related field - 18 graduate hours in marketing courses. ABD with a dissertation defense date set will be considered. Relevant work experience as well as college level teaching experience in Sales and Marketing or related areas are expected.

      Assistant Professor of Education – Ferris State University. The School of Education seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor in Teacher Education. Responsibilities will be to teach courses in any, but not all of the following areas: Special Education. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 or August 2025 at the latest. Required: Ed. D. or Ph.D. in Education or closely related field. At least 18 credits of course work in special education at the master’s degree or higher. Teacher certification or the ability to be certified. 3 years teaching at the PK-12 level in special education (Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time.).

The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For 100% online teaching positions: Courses are to be taught online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in English, rhetoric & composition, or a closely related field. Prior experience teaching writing at the high school level or higher.

    • Adjunct Instructor 1 - History in Big Rapids, MI 49307

      The Humanities Department has a need for History instructors for the Fall 2024 and/or the Spring 2025 semesters to teach a wide variety of history courses on an as needed basis. Courses may include US History (survey courses) and/or Global History. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For 100% online teaching positions: Courses are to be taught online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: Master's degree in History OR Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate credits of coursework in history. Prior teaching experience at the high school level or higher.
